Privacy Policy

This page describes how information is handled when you visit the Beyond 50K: The Community Celebration experience (“the Site”) for Beyond with Cesar Pagan. The Site lets you mark where you are tuning in from on a live, public globe during the celebration event.

By using the Site, you also agree to our Terms of Use. This policy is provided for transparency and does not create obligations beyond those terms.

When you join the globe, you provide:

• Name — shown on the public globe
• Email address — used to prevent duplicate submissions; not shown publicly
• Location — a place label and coordinates you select, shown on the public globe

We also collect or store automatically:

• Device preferences — such as whether you dismissed the welcome panel or a broadcast message (stored in your browser’s local storage)
• Technical data — such as IP address for abuse prevention and rate limiting
• Usage analytics — if enabled, through Firebase/Google Analytics

Live expressions (emoji pulses) after joining are tied to your submitted location on the globe.

• Display your name and location on the live community globe
• Run the realtime celebration experience during the live event
• Prevent duplicate or abusive submissions (one pin per email)
• Operate, secure, and maintain the Site
• Display official live-event messages to visitors

We do not sell personal information. Email addresses are not used for unrelated marketing.

Your name and location are visible to anyone using the Site. Do not submit information you are not comfortable sharing publicly. You participate at your own discretion and risk.

Your email address is not displayed on the globe.

The Site uses third-party services that may process data:

• Google Firebase — realtime database and infrastructure
• Vercel — hosting
• YouTube — embedded live stream and video (channel)
• Mapbox or OpenStreetMap — location search, depending on configuration

Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

Participation data may be kept for the duration of the event experience and for a limited period afterward, then deleted or archived at our discretion.

Participation is voluntary. You may choose not to submit the join form, dismiss on-screen messages, or clear site data in your browser. If you do not agree with this policy or the Terms of Use, do not use the Site.

The Site is intended for a general audience. Users under 13 (or the applicable age in their country) should use the Site only with a parent or guardian’s permission.

This policy may be updated before or during the live event. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
